How SARA uses text messages

How you give consent

A sign at the entrance of a participating building shows a QR code. Scanning it opens our enrollment page for that organization. On that page you enter your own mobile number and press Text me the link. The page states that a text message will be sent and links to this page and to our privacy policy. Nobody else can enter your number for you, and we do not obtain numbers from any other source.

What we send

  1. Right after you submit your number: one message with a link that opens the SARA app so you can complete your application. The link is valid for 24 hours.
  2. After the organization reviews your application: one message telling you whether access was approved or declined.

That is normally two messages per application, occasionally three if you request a new link. We send no marketing or promotional messages.
